Three days until Christmas,  2,800 teens to go.

Thanks to so many generous donors, enough funds have been raised by Adopt-A-Teen as of Friday morning, December 22, 2017 to ensure 5,000 teens from less-than-privileged Edmonton families will have a gift under the tree on Christmas morning,  being a $50 Walmart gift card purchased by Adopt-A-Teen.

But there are 7,800 teens aged 13 to 17 who live in low-income families.

Please help as soon as possible!

Let your friends and family know of this cause - Adopt-A-Teen is sponsored by the Edmonton Sun and Postmedia newspapers, but does not spend your donated money on advertising.

Make  a donation online by credit card at  Just click on the "Donate" button on the home page. It’s a simple procedure.

If you’d prefer to make your donation through a live human being our volunteers Dick and Shirley are standing by at 780-414-7694 until 4:30 p.m. today,  8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.   If the line is busy, please try again - it means more teens are being helped.

Adopt-A-Teen can still accept donations through to the new year. Cheques can be made out to "Adopt-A-Teen" and mailed to Adopt-A-Teen, Box 16000, Edmonton, AB, T5J 4B4.  Website donations can be made at any time.

Thank you to TSN1260 sports radio’s Jason Gregor. Through his program’s Pyramid of Giving segment, Gregor and his listeners raised $7,250 for Adopt-A-Teen, taking care of 145 teens.

At the Christmas gathering of the monthly Art of Conversation social group, held last night in the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald’s Empire Ballroom, $500 was donated - another 10 teens taken care of.

Please call or go online as soon as possible ... before you are overwhelmed by the Christmas rush.

Let’s make sure every kid in our city - from toddlers to 17-year-olds, wakes up with a gift on Christmas Day.
