When Graham Hicks asked me to head the Adopt-A-Teen campaign this year, I wasn’t prepared for how the generosity of Edmontonians would touch me.
We’re six days to the end of our campaign, and we’ve raised enough to provide $50 gift cards to close to 4,300 teens.
An Edmonton couple, who didn’t want to be named, dropped off a $10,000 cheque to the Edmonton Sun office Tuesday afternoon.
That’s enough for 500 teens. 500 teens who otherwise might not have much to open come Christmas Day.
A group from Student Aid Alberta Advanced Education also dropped off over $4,000.
It’s amazing -- keep it coming Edmonton.
